What to Expect on the Fixed Cab Crane Certification Test

The Fixed Cab Crane Certification test benefits your experienced operators. We recommend our mobile crane operator training program for novice operators, as it covers everything they need to know from the ground up. Our standard training program takes place over five days, but we offer a 10-day option for trainee operators who may need more information and experience on the machine. Your operator will attend tailored classes incorporating theoretical and practical learning, increasing their engagement and knowledge retention.

When they have completed training, TSS operators will take a certification exam comprising of one practical and two written components. These components ensure operators have sufficient knowledge and ability in core crane operations and their chosen specialty — fixed cab crane operation. 

Operators can take the written and practical tests in any order, provided they complete and pass all the required tests within 12 months. Once obtained, an operator's certificate is valid for five years, at which point they must renew it.
