Overview of Our Basic Rigging Course

Riggers are crucial to any crane operation, responsible for assessing loads, setting up rigging equipment and making sure the equipment used is in working condition.

CICB's Basic Rigger Training provides riggers with a solid foundation of necessary responsibilities and techniques when working within construction, manufacturing, and other industries utilizing cranes. We balance in-classroom instruction with hands-on sessions designed to effectively determine the ideal size and type of rigging equipment required for each lifting situation.

We run this class over two days, ensuring attendees return to your worksite with an understanding of what is required as an assistant rigger. As opposed to the Basic Rigger & Signalperson course, this course focuses additional attention on entry-level capacity calculations for rigging selection. Organizations interested in sending their riggers to this training can expect to encourage competent professionals with the skills and techniques to support a safer and more efficient workplace.
