Retired Master Sergeant Larry Kime is now a Senior Instructor at CICB.

Larry walks us through the history of AFMAN 91-203, from its inception as AFOSH 91-46, to AFI 91-203 (in 2012) and its current revision in 2018.

Chapter 12 of AFMAN 91-203 covers Material Handling.

  •

Retired Master Sergeant Larry Kime is now a Senior Instructor at CICB. He reminds us that AFMAN 91-203 is only one of four sources of information governing crane & rigging operations on an Air Force Base.

Also important are the OSHA regulations (federal government law), ASME standards (B30 series) and the manufacturer’s instructions.

AFMAN 91-203 incorporates by reference the OSHA regulations and ASME standards. It augments these, rather than replacing them.
